Vision of Mechanical Engineering Study Program (S1) is "To be a superior study program in Southeast Asia in producing graduates in Mechanical Engineering in 2030 which has competitiveness, competence and noble character”.

Mission carried out by the Mechanical Engineering Study Program are "Organizing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education with quality based on science and technology in the field of Mechanical Engineering in order to improve the nation's competitiveness and the welfare of the community”.

From the Vision and Mission that has been set, then several goals are planned to be achieved, among others:

1. Produce graduates who have high competence and competitiveness in the global market.
2. Produce innovative and quality scientific works and publications in scientific and technological development in the field of Mechanical Engineering to support the acceleration of national development.
3. Building a strong network of cooperation at the national and international levels in the development of the Tridharma of Higher Education.

How to achieve the goal:

1. Designing a quality curriculum for the achievement of expected graduate competencies.
2. Improving the competence of lecturers and education staff.
3. Creating a conducive academic atmosphere to encourage all academics to be innovative, adaptive and have a strong character.
4. Improving facilities and infrastructure that support the implementation of learning and research.
5. Improving the transparency and accountability of the study program management system and the quality of service to students.
6. Strengthening Information Technology Systems in administrative and academic processes

The opening of the Mechanical Engineering S1 Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, UNP is very strategic and relevant in helping accelerate national development to increase the nation's competitiveness and the level of community welfare.
